The young Croatian CB has been a local hero due to his exceptional talent, having moved abroad on developmental loan spells; he had the most goals as a teenage defender in Europe’s Top 10 leagues last season , playing in the Belgian league for Westerlo. Vuskovic now is enjoying a bright start in his loan at Hamburger SV in Germany

Player Profile:

As an 18 year old at 6’4, he’s synonymous to be the dominant and physical CB, the aerial duels attempted and success rate is also a clear indication of his traits as a defensive bird. For a side like Hamburger who’d be prone to more defensive actions, it improves his box defending to volumes, whilst making him grow as a leader.

Speaking of him being a leader of the pack, he likes to take ownership of the team’s possession as a CB, showcasing his craft in his technical skills. In the opening 3 games that he’s played, he’s proved to be a volume passer leading the charts across the two games for passes completed (88+54)

He has a tendency of initiating play from his own half as a ball dominant CB, the long pass distribution greatly benefit his front footed approach. Key to add, he also looks to be composed in soaking pressure with his actions whilst being good with both feet
