Who are Arsenal’s realistic potential attacking winter targets whom they can sign on loan/permanent and what do they bring to Arsenal? Let’s look below in detail
Arsenal have been evidently struggling to put chances to bed in the recent weeks. Injuries to Saka and Nwaneri have derailed some kind of open play xG threat that they produced from the wider areas that make their patterns seem pragmatic + easily readable
Teams are aware of Arsenal putting in crosses – variations of creativity are non existent and teams can easily defend such chances by trafficking zones, giving them the advantage. Arsenal’s unwillingness to shoot also makes it difficult to break blocks centrally
Arsenal has managed to accumulate talented players in every department, but attack seems to be have been left unaddressed for too long. Although Arsenal is a side that functions on the collective effort of the team, a reliable goal scorer boosts activity in the final third.
The dire desperate situation Arsenal are put in requires desperate measures. In this thread, let’s try listing some attacking players that Arsenal can realistically buy/loan to stabilise their season – comment your favourite options!
Benjamin Šeško – Buy
21 | CF | 6’4
A player synonymous to the fanbase, thanks to his exceptional qualities + links previously. Sesko is a no nonsense ambi pedal ball striker that likes taking games into his own hands with his elite movements + towering height + robust character.
If Arsenal aim to prioritise a project CF who will likely to be used as a target man profile on a cheaper route – Šeško fits the bill. Arsenal’s crosses into the box for his frame + finishing + xG over performance is perfect
Antoine Semenyo – Buy
25 | RW/LW | 6’1
Semenyo is a promising player growing through the ranks in the PL as an athletic + ambi pedal dribbler that automatically elevates the teams attack. His pace + nature to take on players by physically imposing himself makes him a real threat
Semenyo’s OOP work is one of the best compared to other targets – work rate + pressing, both solid. Would Arsenal look to take the punt on a talent that’s showing promising signs on a cheap?
Bryan Mbeumo – Buy
25 | RW/CF | 5’7
Mbeumo’s barclaysman consistency antics in the league for Brentford aren’t a new conversation – one of the best wingers in the league for his versatile profile at CF/SS + lethal left foot which he prefers cutting in and curling
Agility + dribbling nature + holding the width to carry from wider areas of the pitch is superb. With his contract running down in the summer of 2026, coming at Arsenal and providing the squad with flexibility is a good option
Nico Williams – Buy
22 | LW/RW | 5’11
Looks to be every Arsenalfans dream from the winger position – Nico doesn’t need introductions. A player capable of holding the width on both flanks > cutting in/playing crosses into the box is nee route to creativity
Close control + ball manipulation in tight spaces are the game breaking qualities. 300K wages have been an obvious problem in our pursuit of the Spanish winger since a couple of windows, so that’s a lookout for.
Bradley Barcola – Loan/Buy
22 | LW/RW | 6’0
Barcola is a talented 2 way dribbler who uses both his feet to keep defenders backtracking. Quick pace + intent driven actions that bring levels of explosiveness to his game for a team to rely on from wider areas.
With PSG signing Kvara permanently, Barcola’s game time could reduce drastically and it opens up for an opportunity to entice him with the project and game time – we need a braided dribbler
Dusan Vlahović – Loan
24 | CF | 6’3
An Arteta target since 2022, now being asked to acquire his services in the current squad. No surprise that he’s an upgrade on the current crop – can write games with his aerial ability + box domination + channel running + physicality
Playing in an Arsenal setup that guarantees you goals is a certain no brainer for him personally. However, on a loan it’s a decent option but could hamper the long term project if it’s permanent
Victor Osimhen – Buy/Loan
26 | CF | 6’1
Currently playing his football on loan at Galatasraay, Osimhen has proved how he should be signed a big club in a big league. Make him the focal point in attack > target man qualities + box movements + aerial ability
Might be an easier to complete due to his reported €65M RC – falling in his prime years of his career, he’s only going to get hungrier as a CF – hungry for goals + glory
Viktor Gyökeres – Buy
26 | CF | 6’2
One of Europes most lethal CF prospect has been the Swedish goal scorer. He’s special due to the use of his core body strength in his hold up play and also the qualities of a poacher – may it be finishing + channel running in spaces
Likes taking wider positions whilst dribbling and engage defenders and demolishing the net with his ballstriking. Arsenal will have to trigger his €85M RC to do so which is not the most likely idea.
